Justice Necessary

The Arvada Rotary Club had the pleasure of hearing from Lauren Cikara, Director of Partnerships and Programs for Justice Necessary, an important program that provides the basic hygiene supplies students need regularly.  This closes the gap that SNAP and food stamps cannot, because such funds cannot be used to purchase these products. The need is ongoing, and to continue providing this service, Justice Necessary will host a HygienePalooza to deliver 1,000,000 hygiene products to students across Colorado between September and November.  To participate, click here to register: HygienePalooza

Support for Swanson Elementary Digital Library – Book Vending Machine

Several members of the Arvada Sunrise and Noon Clubs visited with Swanson Elementary staff on September 2nd.  Students can earn credits for certain behavior and performance, and can use those credits to purchase books from the digital library vending machine using tokens. The clubs are considering how they can use grant funds to support this program.
